Tassi Is My New Best Friend

June 1st, 2009

Jennifer at The Dirty Shirt loves Tassi. Yeah, there’s a lot of that going around. Here is an excerpt from her review:

I absolutely love this product, and it is one of those “Why didn’t I think of that” products too. I have had a hard time keeping my hair out of my face when putting on/taking off makeup and for cleaning my face. The amount of clips and pins I have used would make you laugh, at least that is what it did to my husband every time he saw me. I even used to wrap my hair in a towel just to keep it up, but that usually never worked because it would just fall down.

This product is one of those that changes your life for the better, even if only in a small way. I don’t know too many women who like having their hair in the way all the time, I for one do not. With that being said I recommend this simple yet needed product to everyone! Tassi is my new best friend!

Once You Use a Tassi, You’ll Never Go Back

June 1st, 2009

Amanda at PremiumGradeHair.com loves Tassi:

One of my favorite hair accessories (to wear in the privacy of my own home) is the Tassi. So when I found out that they just came out with three new colors, I had to spread the word.

Now in Aquamarine, Cherry Blossom and Bubblegum, in addition to 12 other colors, Tassi’s keep your hair out of your face while putting on makeup, moisturizer and cleansing. The Tassi is a little funny looking, but somehow it is able to hold back all my PGH so I don’t have to use an elastic, clip or headband. This is great for days that I blow-dry straight and don’t want any creases.

I’m really not kidding when I say I love my Tassi. I bought my old roommate one for X-Mas last year and she went crazy. Once you use a Tassi, you’ll never go back.

Thanks Amanda! We love Tassi too.

you gotta get one of these! the tassi …

Here is a new Tassi review by diva in a carry on:

whether you have long hair or short, a big issue is keeping it out of your face while you’re having a “spa night” doing facials with your girlfriends, doing your makeup, or just trying to get the housework done right before that big date. headbands leave dents in your hair, clips do as well, and a ponytail is just sometimes not an option. what’s a diva to do?
try the tassi!

what is the tassi? a great new hair control device made of soft terry fabric that doesn’t leave dents, flatten, twist, torture or otherwise screw with your hairdo. it seems so simple, i know, but the tassi really lives up to its claims. i left this thing in my hair for about four hours – NO dents and my hair came out looking great after i removed it. i use it almost every day now. it’s perfect for keeping my hair out of my way while i clean my face and moisturize (gives me time to really let the moisturizer sink in before my hair touches my face), and i’ve noticed a lot fewer breakouts around my hairline because of it.

the tassi comes in 12 colors, and is sold on their website as well as in stores, salons and spas. check their website for more information. tuck one in your carry on bag, and you’re covered for hair control on all your upcoming trips! takes up virtually no room in your bag.

Charla Krupp Loves Tassi

April 28th, 2009

Charla Krupp, author of the New York Times bestseller “How Not to Look Old,” gave Tassi the following great review on her blog under the title “Why I Love . . . Tassi”:

“How many times have you wanted to wash your face, but didn’t want to get water on your bangs? The Tassi, $14.99 at tassicompany.com, is a terrycloth band you put over your head and tuck all of your hair into, allowing you to properly clean and exfoliate your skin without hair getting in the way.

“It really makes washing your face so much more of a pleasure and is so much better than a headband, since long hair won’t fall onto your cheeks and into the water. It’s so smart, you can’t help but think “why didn’t I think of that?!” It comes in all different colors, and I think it’s just a great, fun gift to give for any woman you know. I can’t live without it!

“This is the one of the 150+ new Brilliant Buys in the paperback edition of HOW NOT TO LOOK OLD…coming your way May 1.”

Thank you, Charla! We love Tassi too!

Tassi Giveaway at The Gerber Babies Blog

April 28th, 2009

The Gerber Babies Blog is giving away a free Lavender Tassi. Here is what Julie Gerber has to say about Tassi and the giveaway:

“I reviewed the Tassi several months ago and I can honestly say, it’s one of my favorite products. I keep it in the bathroom and I use it daily. I use it every morning when I wash my face and I use it if I’m applying makeup. I use it when I bake. I have used it when I clean. I use it every evening to wash my face. I have used it to hold back my hair while I read a book. I use it when I treat myself to wonderful facial masque. I’ve used it in the bath. I have even used it in the shower. What is a Tassi? Well, it’s one of those products that you use once and decide you can’t live without it. I wonder how I ever made it through the day without it. I have never been a fan of headbands. You know, the Velcro type that holds back your hair so you can get through your morning routine. My experience with them has not been great. They slip and after a few months, they no longer hold. My longer hair would fall forward when I washed my face and I would end up with soap or a facial masque all over the ends of my hair. I don’t like shower caps because most of them make me feel like my head is in an oven. I like my showers hot, and caps make me sweat. The Tassi is not waterproof, but when I use it in the shower it keeps my hair out of the way. It’s easy to use and even easier to love! Tassi does not flatten, twist or mess up your “do,” and it’s perfect for protecting second-day blowouts. It’s machine washable too! You can win a Lavender Tassi! Giveaway is open to US residents. To enter, leave a comment with your favorite Tassi color! For an extra entry, follow me or let me know you are a follower by leaving a second comment! Giveaway ends midnight EST May 10, 2009. Good Luck!”

Tassi Passes the Test in Dallas

April 17th, 2009

ShopTalk, which is a daily discussion among the D Magazine and D Beauty editors about the Dallas fashion and beauty scene, put Tassi up for Pass/Fail vote of its readers. Here’s what ShopTalk had to say about Tassi:

The Tassi is kinda like a headband, kinda like a shower cap, and kinda, like, awesome, if you ask me. But hey, you’re the judge. It’s meant to “keep your hair outta there.” Where? Outta your way so you can get all of your girlie things accomplished—face washing, makeup application, skin care, etc. Best part is, you can “do what you do without messing up your doo!” That’s right. Pull off the Tassi, with its loose elastic and soft fabric, and your hair is no worse for the wear. The same cannot be said of some headbands and clips that leave creases or flatten your coif. It comes in a rainbow of fun colors and can be purchased here for only $14.99. So what’s the word? Pass or fail?

So far Tassi gets all “passing” marks, including the following from Kristin:

PASS! 100% I have a Tassi and I love it! Usually I have to use a rubberband AND a headband to keep my hair out of my face when I wash it but with the Tassi it’s just one step and like Katie said it doesn’t make dents in my hair like rubberbands do. I use my every night and it makes me smile. If you have long hair like I do make sure to put all your hair in it – don’t use it like a headband. It is tough enough to hold all your hair. I heart my Tassi!

Thank you Kristin! And thank you Dallas!
