The Tassi really makes washing your face so much more of a pleasure and is so much better than a headband, since long hair won’t fall onto your cheeks and into the water. It’s so smart, you can’t help but think “why didn’t I think of that?!” It comes in all different colors, and I think it’s just a great, fun gift to give for any woman you know. I can’t live without it!

This is the one of the 150+ new Brilliant Buys in the paperback edition of HOW NOT TO LOOK OLD…coming your way May 1, 2009.

I can honestly say, Tassi is one of my favorite products. I keep it in the bathroom and I use it daily. I use it every morning when I wash my face and I use it if I’m applying makeup. I use it when I bake. I have used it when I clean. I use it every evening to wash my face. I have used it to hold back my hair while I read a book. I use it when I treat myself to wonderful facial masque. I’ve used it in the bath. I have even used it in the shower. What is a Tassi? Well, it’s one of those products that you use once and decide you can’t live without it. I wonder how I ever made it through the day without it. I have never been a fan of headbands. You know, the Velcro type that holds back your hair so you can get through your morning routine. My experience with them has not been great. They slip and after a few months, they no longer hold. My longer hair would fall forward when I washed my face and I would end up with soap or a facial masque all over the ends of my hair. I don’t like shower caps because most of them make me feel like my head is in an oven. I like my showers hot, and caps make me sweat. The Tassi is not waterproof, but when I use it in the shower it keeps my hair out of the way. It’s easy to use and even easier to love! Tassi does not flatten, twist or mess up your “do,” and it’s perfect for protecting second-day blowouts. It’s machine washable too!

Long Elegant Legs

Tuesday, April 28th, 2009

I love when someone (and I wish were me) takes a basic daily need and comes up with a fantastic affordable solution! Love these wraps!!! I have stubborn, poker-straight chin length hair with bangs and this is the ONLY hair wrap/band solution that doesn’t dent my hair after I’ve washed my face and take it off. Before the wraps I looked like the character in the movie “What About Mary”! Not a pretty sight! I can’t figure out how it works but as long as it does I’ll keep buying and recommending them! Believe it or not the wrap even saves me a day from washing my hair because now my hair isn’t dented for bands and pony tails. Stop me now or I could go on forever. Did I say I LOVE THESE WRAPS?!

Charla Krupp Loves Tassi

Tuesday, April 28th, 2009

Charla Krupp, author of the New York Times bestseller “How Not to Look Old,” gave Tassi the following great review on her blog under the title “Why I Love . . . Tassi”:

“How many times have you wanted to wash your face, but didn’t want to get water on your bangs? The Tassi, $14.99 at tassicompany.com, is a terrycloth band you put over your head and tuck all of your hair into, allowing you to properly clean and exfoliate your skin without hair getting in the way.

“It really makes washing your face so much more of a pleasure and is so much better than a headband, since long hair won’t fall onto your cheeks and into the water. It’s so smart, you can’t help but think “why didn’t I think of that?!” It comes in all different colors, and I think it’s just a great, fun gift to give for any woman you know. I can’t live without it!

Kristin in Dallas

I have a Tassi and I love it! Usually I have to use a rubberband AND a headband to keep my hair out of my face when I wash it but with the Tassi it’s just one step and like Katie said it doesn’t make dents in my hair like rubberbands do. I use my every night and it makes me smile. If you have long hair like I do make sure to put all your hair in it – don’t use it like a headband. It is tough enough to hold all your hair. I heart my Tassi!

Tassi Passes the Test in Dallas

Friday, April 17th, 2009

ShopTalk, which is a daily discussion among the D Magazine and D Beauty editors about the Dallas fashion and beauty scene, put Tassi up for Pass/Fail vote of its readers. Here’s what ShopTalk had to say about Tassi:

The Tassi is kinda like a headband, kinda like a shower cap, and kinda, like, awesome, if you ask me. But hey, you’re the judge. It’s meant to “keep your hair outta there.” Where? Outta your way so you can get all of your girlie things accomplished—face washing, makeup application, skin care, etc. Best part is, you can “do what you do without messing up your doo!” That’s right. Pull off the Tassi, with its loose elastic and soft fabric, and your hair is no worse for the wear. The same cannot be said of some headbands and clips that leave creases or flatten your coif. It comes in a rainbow of fun colors and can be purchased here for only $14.99. So what’s the word? Pass or fail?

So far Tassi gets all “passing” marks, including the following from Kristin:

PASS! 100% I have a Tassi and I love it!

Thank you Kristin! And thank you Dallas!
